Vatican bars traditional Latin Mass pilgrims from St. Peter’s Basilica

The Vatican has physically blocked pilgrims from the annual Ad Petri Sedem pilgrimage from entering St. Peter’s Basilica. The group, which seeks to celebrate the traditional Latin Mass (TLM), was prevented from entering the Basilica to perform the Mass, pray at the tomb of St. Peter, or engage in Eucharistic adoration.

This move follows a previous event where the Vatican welcomed over a thousand pro-LGBT Catholics through the Basilica’s Holy Door. Critics argue that under the leadership of Pope Leo XIV, the Vatican is showing open opposition to traditional Catholicism by excluding those who adhere to the ancient liturgical practices ratified by Pope Pius V.
