Vatopedi Monastery skete announces Panagia Pantanassa feast

The Vatopedi Monastery skete in Porto Lagos has announced the schedule for the feast of Panagia Pantanassa, to be held on September 23-24, 2026. The religious program includes Vespers on Wednesday, September 23, followed by Matins and Divine Liturgy on Thursday, September 24. A procession of the Holy Icon will take place after the liturgy.

On Friday, September 25, a gathering for pilgrims will be held featuring Elder Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, who will speak on spiritual matters. The skete, located on two small islands in the Porto Lagos lagoon in Xanthi, houses a 17th-century miraculous icon of Panagia Pantanassa, which is believed by many to have healing properties.
