Vaucluse wedding procession blocks toll, police seize Lamborghini and McLaren
A wedding convoy in the Vaucluse region stopped traffic on a toll highway, causing a full lane blockage. The gendarmerie unit Escadron Départemental de Contrôle des Flux intervened and inspected the decorated procession.
Officers immobilised two high‑end cars—a orange Lamborghini Urus and a blue McLaren Artura Spider—citing lack of insurance, tires described as “smooth”, and non‑conforming licence plates. The check also opened a financial investigation into the source of funds used for the vehicles, linking the seizure to broader anti‑money‑laundering efforts that have already resulted in assets worth about €2.2 million being seized in the area.
