Vaudoise Assurances headquarters opens to public in Lausanne

During the European Heritage Days on September 12 and 13, 2026, over 500 visitors attended the ‘Cèdre’, the recently renovated headquarters of Vaudoise Assurances in Lausanne. The building is considered an icon of modern Swiss architecture and a work of national importance, originally designed by architect Jean Tschumi.

Following a major renovation conducted between 2024 and 2025, the project aimed to preserve the historical identity and original design elements of Tschumi’s vision while adapting the space for modern work methods. The renovation was carried out in collaboration with heritage experts and the architectural firm Itten & Brechbühl.

Guided tours were provided by art historian Camille Jaquod and architects from Itten & Brechbühl, allowing the public to explore the history of the ‘Campagne des Cèdres’ site and the building’s unique integration of architecture, design, and art.
