Vauhti Kiihtyy festival expects record attendance in Tampere

The Vauhti Kiihtyy music festival in Tampere is expected to break previous attendance records, with approximately 38,000 visitors anticipated at the Hakametsä festival area over the weekend.

The festival grounds underwent renovations this year, including a reduction from two stages to one. The single stage is located in the asphalt parking area near the ice hall, while the sand field area has been dedicated to catering and side activities. Despite the layout improvements, heavy crowds caused congestion near the ice hall seating area as the evening progressed.

Käärijä performed as the opening act on Friday, appearing alongside a human disco ball to high audience engagement. The festival serves as a major season-ending event for summer festivals in the region.
