Víctor Celestino Rodríguez Pérez explores memory through literature

Author Víctor Celestino Rodríguez Pérez has released ‘Aquella interminable lluvia de diciembre’ through Sultana del Lago Editores. The work draws on the memory of the Vargas Tragedy, a significant natural disaster in Venezuelan history.

Rodríguez Pérez, a professor and versatile writer from Guárico, has published works across various genres, including novels, essays, and poetry, in both Venezuela and Spain. His literary career includes the novel ‘La regresión’ and contributions to international literary platforms.

Beyond his literary achievements, Rodríguez Pérez is a survivor of major natural disasters. Having lived through the Vargas mudslides, he has also recently experienced the San Juan earthquakes, an experience he documented in his chronicle ‘Esa mirada perdida’.
