Vecchiano completes 1.25 million euro aqueduct renovation
Infrastructure works to renew 1,650 meters of the aqueduct in Vecchiano and Migliarino Pisano have been completed. The project, managed by Acque in coordination with the local administration, involved a total investment of 1.25 million euros.
In Vecchiano, 680 meters of piping were replaced on via Roma and via del Paduletto at a cost of 400,000 euros. These works included the induction line connected to the water plant and the distribution network. In Migliarino Pisano, 970 meters of new piping were installed with an investment of 850,000 euros, covering via Fucini, via Don Minzoni, and via Mazzini.
The installation of larger diameter ductile iron pipes aims to reduce leaks, improve water pressure, and ensure service continuity. Final asphalt restoration is scheduled to begin in early November, depending on weather conditions.
