Vecchiano to host Volunteer Festival on October 3

The municipality of Vecchiano, in collaboration with the Municipal Volunteer Councils, will host the ‘Festa del Volontariato’ (Volunteer Festival) on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event, titled ‘Insieme per la Comunità’ (Together for the Community), will take place in Piazza Pasolini from 11:00 to 17:00.

The festival aims to showcase the contributions of local volunteer associations and provide educational opportunities for the community. Activities will include workshops for both adults and children led by volunteers from SWRTT, the Migliarino section of Pubblica Assistenza di Pisa, and the Misericordia of Vecchiano.

Mayor Massimiliano Angori noted that the event coincides with the recent adoption of a new Civil Protection Plan, a document developed with active participation from the Volunteer Council. The day is intended to strengthen the culture of prevention and inform citizens on proper conduct during civil protection or health-related emergencies.
