Vechelde municipality to open new barrier-free pumptrack
The municipality of Vechelde is expanding its local sports and leisure offerings with the construction of a new pumptrack in Wahle. Located at the entrance of the industrial area, the asphalt-based track is designed to be barrier-free, allowing use by BMX riders, scooters, skateboards, and even wheelchairs.
The facility will include amenities such as bicycle stands, parking spaces, a weather shelter, and a lighting system to enable use during darker months. Mayor Tobias Grünert stated that the pumptrack is intended to be a multi-generational facility for both individual and group sports. The opening is scheduled for late October.
