Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama finishes 16th in Moto3 Hungary, falls to sixth in championship

Seventeen‑year‑old Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama, competing for Honda Team Asia/Astra Honda Racing, took part in the Moto3 Grand Prix at the Balaton Park circuit in Hungary on 7 June 2026. He qualified on the ninth grid position but was handed a long‑lap penalty after stewards judged him for slowing the pace and impeding another rider during qualifying. The penalty forced him to ride an extended lap during the race, costing roughly two to three seconds. Despite an aggressive start that saw him briefly run as high as sixth, the penalty dropped him to the back of the pack, and he ultimately crossed the finish line in 16th place, outside the points‑scoring positions.
