Vedat Işıkhan inaugurates new SGK service building in Zonguldak

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan inaugurated the new Social Security Institution (SGK) Provincial Directorate service building in Zonguldak. The facility, built at a cost of 122 million lira, features 9,000 square meters of enclosed space and is equipped with modern amenities to improve the accessibility and quality of social security services for citizens.

During the ceremony, Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu highlighted the strategic importance of the region, noting that Zonguldak hosts 12,533 workplaces and 158,621 active workers, with 182,733 citizens receiving monthly payments under the social security system. Minister Işıkhan emphasized the ongoing digital transformation aimed at allowing citizens to complete various transactions remotely without visiting physical offices, stating that technological advancements are being used to make service processes faster and more reliable.
