Vedat Muriqi discusses Fenerbahce’s Champions League draw against Lyon

Kosovar striker Vedat Muriqi expressed optimism following Fenerbahce’s 1-1 draw against Lyon in the first leg of their Champions League play-off match in Istanbul. Muriqi played 82 minutes, marking a successful return to the pitch after recovering from a hamstring injury earlier in the pre-season.

Muriqi praised the support of the Fenerbahce fans at Kadikoy and emphasized his commitment to being useful to the team beyond just scoring goals. He noted that while a better result would have provided an advantage for the return leg, the team remains focused on securing qualification. The second leg is scheduled to take place in Lyon on August 26.
