Vedelago inaugurates 4 million euro early childhood facilities

New educational facilities for early childhood and nursery services have been inaugurated in Barcon, Vedelago. The project, valued at 4 million euros, provides a total of 132 places, split equally between 66 spots for nursery school and 66 for a nursery school (asilo nido).

The funding for the complex was sourced from 3 million euros provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and 1 million euros from the municipality of Vedelago's own resources. While the nursery school has been operational since the previous school year, the new nursery (asilo nido) is scheduled to open on September 21, 2026, completing the full activation of the educational hub.

Mayor Giuseppe Romano stated that the investment aims to support local families and facilitate work-life balance by providing essential services directly within the community.
