Vedrana Rudan to release final book Kao da me ima

Writer Vedrana Rudan will release her final and most personal book, titled ‘Kao da me ima’, on her birthday, October 29. Published by Laguna, the work is a comprehensive ‘best of’ collection prepared alongside her son, Slaven Hrvatin.

The book serves as a summary of her decades-long career, spanning from the late 1990s to 2026. It includes texts originally published in Feral Tribune, Nacional, and her personal blog. The collection covers a wide range of themes, including social and feminist provocations, politics, family, motherhood, aging, and illness.

Hrvatin noted that the project was initiated while Rudan was battling incurable cancer for two years. The collection is described as maintaining her signature voice—ranging from humorous and witty to brutal and deeply personal—while incorporating her characteristic irony and dark humor in its emotional conclusion.
