VEDRO Zenica organizes memorial hike to Lisac mountain

The mountaineering and sports tourism association VEDRO Zenica is organizing a memorial hike titled ‘Lisac – koracima sjećanja’ (Lisac – steps of remembrance). The event is dedicated to five mountaineers and friends—Alma, Denis, Meliha, Almir, and Nermin—who passed away on Mount Elbrus.

The hike is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026. Participants will follow a route that includes a bus trip from Zenica to Vrselje, followed by a 15-kilometer walking tour through Liskovača, Golub, Lisac, and Jelina, with an elevation gain of approximately 700 meters. The trek is expected to last about seven hours.

Organizers noted that the path includes a trail previously marked by Nermin Talam along with friends Hasan and Tarik. The excursion is free for participants, though individuals may need to cover costs for regular bus lines. Interested parties are encouraged to register via the VEDRO website to assist with organization.
