Veeam launches AI oversight tool for Microsoft 365

Veeam Software has announced the general availability of Veeam Intelligent ResOps for Microsoft 365. This new tool is designed to provide organizations with visibility into the activities of AI agents, such as Microsoft Copilot, within their data environments.

The solution allows companies to identify which sensitive data AI agents can access, close oversharing gaps, and precisely undo file changes or deletions caused by an agent. It also continuously classifies regulated data across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange, while identifying redundant or obsolete data to help reduce storage costs.

Veeam CEO Anand Eswaran noted that in the era of agentic AI, organizations need to determine exactly what was affected and how to return to a trusted state. The tool provides both a recovery point and a recovery map to guide restoration efforts. The solution integrates with Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 and utilizes advanced security and governance capabilities from Securiti AI.
