Veeam Software addresses AI data trust challenges in Bogotá
Veeam Software hosted the VeeamON Tour in Bogotá, bringing together industry experts and technology leaders to address the challenges of data security and governance in the era of artificial intelligence. The event focused on the necessity of ensuring that data used by AI agents is visible, secure, compliant, and recoverable.
According to Veeam’s ‘Data and AI Trust Gap’ report, while 88% of organizations are currently using or piloting AI agents, only 7% feel truly prepared for the technology. Furthermore, 95% of organizations stated that data-related challenges have hindered their progress in artificial intelligence adoption.
Mauricio González, Vice President for Latin America at Veeam, emphasized that organizations face a ‘trust problem’ rather than just an adoption problem. He noted that for AI to generate sustainable value, companies must be able to trust the data that fuels it and maintain the ability to protect and govern that information accurately.
