Veendam municipal council appoints new committee members

The Veendam municipal council has appointed several new members to its advisory committees. These committees serve as essential bodies that prepare decisions and advise the council on policies affecting local life.

Two specific committees have been established: the Physical Committee, which manages finances, spatial planning, traffic, and the environment; and the Social Domain Committee, which oversees healthcare, education, culture, and social welfare.

Among those sworn in are Daan De Roos, Vladimir Slor, Grieto Visser, and Marnix Drent. Tyler ter Meulen, Geert Eisinga, and Trevor Mooiman are scheduled to be sworn in at a later date.
