VEF Rīga defeats Lokomotiv Plovdiv in FIBA Europe Cup opener
Latvian basketball club VEF Rīga opened its FIBA Europe Cup campaign with a dominant 106:83 victory over Bulgaria's Lokomotiv Plovdiv. Despite an early seven-point deficit in the opening minutes, the home team recovered to lead 53:41 by the end of the first quarter.
