VEGA sensors implement digital monitoring in Mexico water network
VEGA sensors are being utilized by Veolia Agua Aguascalientes to transition from manual spot checks to continuous digital monitoring of its water network in Mexico. The 2,821-kilometre network serves approximately 900,000 people through 218 wells, some reaching depths of 650 metres.
The implementation provides technicians with earlier visibility into pressure and level changes. This is critical due to the challenging nature of the groundwater, which contains minerals, metals, and sand at temperatures around 33 degrees Celsius. Such conditions can lead to calcium carbonate buildup, corrosion, and pump interference.
In addition to water management, VEGA instrumentation is used in the food and beverage industries to maintain hygiene and monitor production. These sensors are designed to meet various sanitary standards, such as FDA and EHEDG, utilizing corrosion-free materials and designs compatible with cleaning-in-place processes to ensure food safety.
