Vegas Golden Knights extend Mark Stone with two-year deal

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed captain Mark Stone to a two-year contract extension. The new deal carries an annual value of $9 million and will begin following the upcoming season, running through the 2028-29 season.

Stone is currently entering the final year of an eight-year contract that pays $9.5 million annually. The extension represents a $500,000 reduction in his yearly salary. The 34-year-old veteran has played nine seasons with the Golden Knights, recording 136 goals and 396 points in 400 regular-season games for the franchise.

In his most recent season, Stone recorded 28 goals and 73 points in 60 appearances, contributing to the team's run to the Stanley Cup Final. Stone is currently third on the Golden Knights' all-time points list.
