Vehicle administrative procedures updated in Mexico City and Bogota

In Mexico City, vehicle owners who have sold a car or motorcycle but still have the title in their name must complete ownership transfer procedures within 15 days. Required documentation includes a valid official ID (such as INE, passport, or driver's license), a proof of address no older than three months, and original and photocopies of vehicle tax payments (tenencias) for the current year and the five previous years.

In Bogota, Colombia, a new virtual system allows owners to recover immobilized vehicles from impound lots via computer or mobile device. The process utilizes facial biometric validation to verify identity against official databases like Runt and the Registraduría. Users must schedule a virtual appointment through the official mobility website or via telephone, complete the identity check, and pay impound and towing fees through the PSE system before retrieving the vehicle.
