Vehicle belonging to Salvador Mazza mayor stolen and taken to Bolivia

An investigation is underway following the armed robbery of a vehicle belonging to Gustavo Subelza, the mayor of Salvador Mazza, in the Salta province of Argentina. Initial findings from security forces, including the National Gendarmerie and Bolivian police, suggest the vehicle was driven across the border into Bolivia shortly after being stolen from a car wash.

Local officials have highlighted the difficulty of recovering stolen assets once they cross the international boundary. Adrián Zigarán, an official in the region, noted that recovering such vehicles often requires significant financial payments or high-level contacts. He cited previous instances where stolen vehicles were either never recovered or were dismantled after owners were allegedly extorted for large sums of money.

Due to the international nature of the theft, the case may be transferred to federal jurisdiction. Security forces are currently utilizing surveillance footage and other investigative tools to reconstruct the vehicle's route through the border region.
