Vehicle collisions with utility poles reported in Venezuela and Mexico

Two separate traffic accidents involving vehicle collisions with utility poles were reported in Venezuela and Mexico.

In the Creolandia sector of Judibana, Los Taques, a red Ford Festiva struck a public lighting pole on a Saturday night. The impact caused severe material damage to the vehicle. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Hospital Dr. Rafael Calles Sierra for medical evaluation. Security commissions attended the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.

In Reynosa, Tamaulipas, a driver of a grey Ford Fusion lost control while attempting to avoid a Chevrolet Tahoe that allegedly invaded his lane. The maneuver resulted in the driver hitting and toppling a concrete pole. While the vehicle sustained significant damage, no injuries were reported. Authorities determined that because no contact occurred between the two vehicles, the driver of the Ford Fusion was held responsible for the damages.
