Vehicle fire in Carirubana and musical instrument theft in Morelia

A vehicle fire occurred at midday on Monday, August 31, on Avenida 1C in the Cardón community, Carirubana municipality. A green 2002 Fiat Uno, owned by Franklin Partidas, caught fire while in motion. Local firefighters extinguished the flames, and the driver was reported uninjured. Authorities are investigating whether the cause was a mechanical failure or a short circuit.

In Morelia, a theft occurred in the Historic Center on Saturday, August 29, targeting the Mejía Almonte family. Unknown individuals broke into a vehicle between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, stealing a significant collection of musical instruments belonging to the group Media Luna. The stolen items include violins, a cello, various guitars, a vihuela, a jarana huasteca, a quinta huapanguera, a tamborita, as well as microphones, speakers, a console, and laptops.
