Vehicle fires in The Hague and tram crash in Voorburg reported

Two cars were engulfed in flames on the Trekvlietplein in The Hague during the early hours of 10 July. The fire started around 02:30, was quickly extinguished by firefighters, and left the vehicles heavily damaged; police are investigating possible arson.

Around 09:30 on 9 July a tram collided with a car at the intersection of Monseigneur Van Steelaan and Prinses Beatrixlaan in Voorburg. The car sustained front‑end damage, no injuries were reported, and tram line 2 experienced temporary delays.

In Leiden, a speedboat was found with blood splatters on the Koppenhinksteeg quay on the night of 8 July; the number of injured persons remains unclear. Police also seized the licence of a driver who was travelling at 210 km/h on the N11 near Hazerswoude‑Rijndijk and issued a fine.

A forest fire near Katwijk destroyed about 20 metres of vegetation, and an apartment fire in Leiden was controlled within an hour after neighbours raised the alarm. Police arrested two minors for stealing a scooter in Gouda and issued more than sixty fines during a traffic control operation in Pijnacker.
