Vehicle fires reported in Arteixo and Vigo
Two separate vehicle fires occurred on Saturday, October 31, in the Spanish regions of Galicia and Arteixo.
In Arteixo, a motorhome parked on Travesía de Arteixo caught fire around 2:00 PM. Firefighters reported hearing explosions, likely caused by the vehicle's battery or tires. While the motorhome was completely destroyed and a nearby truck cover was damaged, no injuries were reported. Witnesses noted that the vehicle had been parked in that location for years and suggested the fire may have originated from an appliance.
In Vigo, an Opel Corsa spontaneously caught fire on Ecuador Street. The occupants, two elderly individuals, were surprised by the flames, which originated from the front of the vehicle. Local police and firefighters responded quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent parked cars. The vehicle was left heavily damaged and required a tow truck to be removed.
