Poland launches nationwide vehicle lighting safety campaign

The Polish police have launched the eleventh edition of the national campaign ‘Twoje Światła – Nasze Bezpieczeństwo’ (Your Lights – Our Safety). Running from October 22 to December 10, 2026, the initiative aims to improve road safety during the autumn and winter months when visibility is reduced by darkness and poor weather.

As part of the campaign, 1,567 vehicle inspection stations across Poland are participating, offering free checks and adjustments of vehicle lighting. Drivers can utilize these services on four specific Saturdays: October 24, November 7, November 21, and December 5, 2026.

Law enforcement officials will be conducting increased inspections nationwide to check the functionality, alignment, and legality of light sources, including the use of unauthorized LED retrofits. Drivers found with non-compliant lighting may face fines or the impoundment of their vehicle registration documents.
