Vehicle maintenance and technical inspection requirements in Poland
Automotive maintenance and safety standards in Poland emphasize the importance of precise diagnostics for wheel balancing and braking systems.
Standard wheel balancing may fail to eliminate vibrations felt at speeds between 80 and 120 km/h if the issue stems from uneven tire stiffness or rim deformations. In such cases, road testing is recommended to simulate real driving conditions by using a specialized roller to diagnose radial runout and tire behavior under load.
Regarding technical inspections, vehicles must demonstrate uniform braking force across the same axle. A difference in braking force exceeding 30 percent between the left and right wheels results in a failed inspection. This measurement is based on the higher of the two readings rather than the average, ensuring that significant imbalances are identified even if they are not immediately noticeable to the driver during daily use.
