Vehid Murić indicted for triple homicide in Podgorica

The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica has filed an indictment against Vehid Murić for the brutal killing of three men on April 20, 2026. The victims, identified as Denis Hot, Nezrin Hot, and Kenan Miraljemović, were killed in a house located on Zmaj Jovina Street in the Stari Aerodrom neighborhood of Podgorica.

According to the indictment, Murić entered the residence, where he had previously stayed occasionally with the victims, and attacked them with a kitchen knife. The prosecution alleges that the victims suffered multiple stab and incised wounds, causing intense physical and mental pain prior to their deaths. The crime is being classified as aggravated murder due to its particularly cruel nature.

Reports indicate that the victims and the accused were acquaintances who worked together in construction. Following the incident, Murić reportedly fled to Rožaje, where he was subsequently apprehended by police. The indictment has been submitted to the Higher Court in Podgorica for confirmation.
