Veikkola School to host Gutsy Go peace project week

Veikkola School in Kirkkonummi, Finland, will host a Gutsy Go project week during week 43. The initiative involves 7th-grade students working in small groups to plan and execute peace and trust-building projects within their local community.

During the project week, students will deviate from their regular academic schedule to focus on community action and documentation. They will record and edit video stories of their work to be screened at the end of the week. The program aims to foster teamwork, social interaction, and active citizenship.

Educators and mentors, including school coaches and youth workers, have undergone training to support the students. The Gutsy Go program has been active across Finland for nearly a decade, with over 1,000 projects completed to date.
