Vejen police fine 111 drivers after six‑hour speed‑camera operation
A photo‑radar vehicle operated by the South and Southern Jutland Police on Asbovej in Vejen Municipality for six hours recorded 111 motorists exceeding the 60 km/h speed limit. The highest speed measured was 97 km/h. Sixteen drivers also received licence‑point penalties. All offenders will receive an e‑Boks notice with a fine of at least DKK 1,200, with higher penalties for those who lost points and contributions to the Victims’ Fund.
The enforcement highlights ongoing concerns about speed compliance on Danish rural roads and the financial consequences of traffic violations.
