Vejle urban development project Gammelhavn takes shape

A new urban district named Gammelhavn is being developed on a former post office site in Vejle, Denmark. The project covers 94,000 square meters and includes residential units, commercial spaces, a grocery store, and a parking garage.

Developed by NPV, with architectural design by Sweco Architects and Henning Larsen Architects, the project is being executed in three stages scheduled for completion by 2028. The first stage, completed in 2025, provided 360 micro-living units and 163 larger apartments. The second stage, due in 2027, will include 80 apartments, a grocery store, and a 21,000 square meter parking facility. The final stage, expected in 2028, will consist of 250 apartments and nearly 20,000 square meters of commercial space.
