Vela Viva 15 sailing event expands to multiple Italian lakes

The fourth edition of Vela Viva 15, a promotional event organized by the Comitato XV Zona FIV, successfully launched its first day on Lake Lugano (Ceresio). The event featured sailing trials, thematic meetings focused on water safety, and demonstrations by the SICS – Scuola Italiana Cani Salvataggio rescue dogs. The Italian Red Cross also participated to provide guidance on lake safety.

The second phase of the event is scheduled for August 29, expanding its reach across several northern Italian lakes, including Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, Lake Iseo, Lake Orta, and Lake Viverone, as well as the Oasi dell’Airone Cenerino. The upcoming program includes sailing excursions, lake cleaning activities, and community events such as music and barbecues, aiming to combine sports with environmental protection and community engagement.
