Velenje to host 3D archery competition for Traditional Bows Cup

The Šaleški lokostrelski klub Perun is hosting a 3D archery competition for the Traditional Bows Cup near Lake Škalsko in Velenje on Saturday, October 3. The event features competitors from across Slovenia and other countries.

Unlike traditional archery, this competition utilizes 28 three-dimensional animal targets, such as bears, wild boars, and deer, placed in a natural environment. Participants must estimate distances and adjust their shots based on the target's size and position. The competition allows for various traditional bow styles, including longbows and primitive bows, and follows the Scandinavian scoring method.
