Veles Pitijada festival sets new attendance record

The Pitijada festival in Veles has reached a new record in attendance. The event features 12 stalls located on Blagoj Gjorev Street, showcasing traditional pastrmajlija prepared according to local recipes, alongside various wineries.

This year's edition introduces a competition to select the best Veles pita. In collaboration with ‘Gastro mak’, a jury of 15 professional chefs, including Stevo Karapandža, Uwe Michel, and Dragića Lukin, will evaluate the quality of the traditional pastrmajlija on Sunday, October 11.

The festival includes musical performances by artists such as Toni Andreev, Vlatko Miladinoski, Zlatko Miladinoski, and Serbian singer Natasha Beklavac. Other attractions include a handmade crafts bazaar and an ‘Oldtimers’ exhibition.
