Veles prosecutor investigates fraudulent Cuban cancer vaccine scam

The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Veles has launched an investigation into a suspected fraud and quackery scheme involving fake Cuban cancer vaccines. Authorities conducted searches at multiple locations, including the suspect's workplace, to secure evidence for forensic examination.

The investigation focuses on allegations that the suspect, seeking unlawful financial gain, deceived multiple individuals by falsely offering these vaccines. During the searches, electronic devices and other materials were seized. The prosecutor has requested precautionary measures from the court, including the seizure of the suspect's passport and a requirement to report to the court regularly.

The suspect is currently hospitalized in a medical institution. Prosecutors and police are continuing to collect evidence and interview victims and other relevant witnesses to complete the investigation.
