Veles to implement ‘Bezbeden Grad’ traffic surveillance system

The ‘Bezbeden Grad’ (Safe City) automated surveillance system is set to expand to Veles starting Saturday, September 12. Following technical checks and final testing by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, cameras will be activated on roads within the Veles Police Station jurisdiction.

The system is designed to provide continuous monitoring and automated registration of traffic violations to increase road discipline and reduce accident risks. This expansion follows the implementation of the system in Skopje, Kumanovo, and Tetovo, as well as on sections of corridors 8 and 10. While the Ministry has called for drivers to adhere strictly to traffic rules, specific details regarding the exact number of cameras and their precise locations have not yet been released.
