Velika Gospa feast programs announced for Široki Brijeg and Sinj

The Franciscan monastery and parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Široki Brijeg, Bosnia‑Herzegovina, posted a nine‑day liturgical schedule for the 2026 Velika Gospa celebration. Each day begins with evening prayers at 18:00 followed by a solemn Mass at 19:00, with specific friars, choirs and locations listed for 6 – 14 August.

The Shrine of Our Lady in Sinj, Croatia, released its itinerary for the annual Velika Gospa festivities, which this year also mark the 800th anniversary of St Francis of Assisi. The program includes hourly Masses on 14 August, a main evening celebration on the town square, processions carrying the miraculous image of Our Lady, and a series of pilgrimages and nocturnal vigils extending through late August. Named clergy will preside over the various services, and the events are expected to draw tens of thousands of faithful from the region.
