Veliko Gradište family massacre: Third victim dies after inheritance dispute

A family massacre in Veliko Gradište has concluded with the death of the third victim, 46-year-old Anita Č., who passed away in the hospital after a ten-day struggle.

The violence began on August 29 during an inheritance dispute. The perpetrator, identified as B. K., reportedly shot his sister, Anita, in the head after attempting to force her to transfer property to him. Following the initial shooting, the man traveled to his sister's home, where he killed her husband, S. Č. (48), a local firefighter, and their 19-year-old daughter, J. Č., while they were sleeping. The perpetrator then took his own life.

Local residents and friends have shared images of the family to honor their memory. The motive appears linked to a will left by the siblings' father, who died in April and had excluded the son from his inheritance.
