Veliko Tarnovo implements clean air project with new heating appliances

More than 380 new heating appliances have been installed in households across Veliko Tarnovo and its municipality as part of an initiative to improve air quality. The project, titled ‘For cleaner air in Veliko Tarnovo municipality, through the replacement of solid fuel heating appliances with ecological alternatives’, is funded by the ‘Environment’ Program 2021-2027.

To date, 349 old heating units have been removed from 181 households. These have been replaced by 368 new air conditioners and 20 pellet stoves. The project remains open for new applicants from any settlement within the municipality. Residents can submit documents in person at the project office or electronically via email.
