Veliko Tarnovo launches interactive urban planning platform

The Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo has launched a new interactive platform to provide public access to its General Urban Plan (GUP) information. The system utilizes Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to integrate various spatial data layers into a single interface.

Users can access detailed information including regulation plans, cadastral maps, cultural heritage sites, transport networks, and technical or utility infrastructure. The platform also includes data on natural and disturbed territories, as well as Natura 2000 protected zones.

Designed for citizens, investors, designers, and administrative specialists, the platform offers tools to measure distances and areas, adjust layer transparency, and switch between base maps, including satellite imagery. It is accessible via the municipal web portal, the ‘E-Municipality’ module, and mobile devices, featuring search capabilities by address, cadastral identifier, or property number.
