Veliko Tarnovo to host Night of Literature event

The 15th edition of the ‘Night of Literature’ initiative will take place in Veliko Tarnovo on October 1. This pan-European event focuses on contemporary European literature presented through translations into Bulgarian.

The event is organized into three ‘reading nests’ located at the Boris Denev Art Gallery, the Sarafkina House Museum, and the Tam Club. Each location will feature readings from three different books by various European authors.

In the Boris Denev Art Gallery, actress Stefka Zlatkova will present works by Georgi Bardarov, Viktor Topalov and Nikol Valcheva, and Samantha Harvey. The Sarafkina House Museum will host Tsvetomir Ilchev, who will read works by Anne Frank, Olga Round, and Bibi Dumont Tak. The Tam Club will feature Samuil Goranov reading works by Julia Fedorchuk, Kica Kolbe, and Jonas Hassen Khemiri.

Readings will occur every half hour from 18:00 to 21:30, allowing the public to move between locations. Admission is free, and visitors who visit all three sites can participate in a book raffle organized by the Veliko Tarnovo Municipality.
