Veljko Kajtazi leaves Croatian Parliament's National Minority Club
Veljko Kajtazi, a representative for the Roma and 11 other national minorities, has announced his departure from the National Minority Club in the Croatian Parliament. He will henceforth serve as an independent representative, though he will retain all other parliamentary functions.
Kajtazi stated that his decision follows a discussion at a recent session of the Roma Alliance in the Republic of Croatia ‘KALI SARA’. He cited a loss of trust, collegiality, and the ability to reach agreements within the Club as primary reasons for leaving. He further alleged that the personal interests of some members had become more important than the interests of national minorities.
