Veljko Ražnatović addresses false claims regarding national pension

Boxer Veljko Ražnatović has addressed recent social media criticism regarding false claims that he qualified for a national pension following his bronze medal win at the European Boxing Championships.

Despite the widespread rumors, Ražnatović is not eligible for the state pension because he competed in the 86kg weight category. Under current regulations, national pensions for boxing are reserved exclusively for athletes competing in official Olympic weight classes, such as 71kg, 80kg, 92kg, and super heavyweight. The 86kg division is the only category not included in the Olympic program.

Speaking on the podcast ‘Bokscast’, Ražnatović expressed frustration with the public backlash and the tendency of individuals to judge without verifying facts. He stated that he does not let these administrative issues bother him, noting that he has fulfilled his sporting duties and intends to focus on agriculture in the future.
