Velká pardubická features small field of ten horses

The 136th edition of the Velká pardubická, the most famous steeplechase in the Czech Republic, features a notably small field of only ten horses. This marks the smallest starting lineup since 1993.

Among the competitors are former winners Godfrey and Sacamiro. Seven-time winner Jan Faltejsek, riding Godfrey, seeks an eighth victory to equal the record held by Josef Váňa. Other key contenders include the Irish horse Final Orders, ridden by last year's champion Keith Michael Donoghue, and the 2023 winner Sacamiro. Lenka Neprašová is the sole female participant in the race.
