Velká pardubická qualifiers feature potential half-brother rivalry

The final qualifying race for the 136th Velká pardubická, sponsored by Slavia pojišťovna, is approaching. The upcoming event features a potential rivalry between two half-brothers, Godfrey and High in the Sky, both descendants of the mare Partoutata. Godfrey is the 2024 winner, while High in the Sky placed second in last year's main race and third in the May qualifier.

Other entries include Dumon Roclay, No Risk No Fun, and Un Reve Dautomne. The registration lists for the various categories are currently being processed, with final lists to be closed on September 1. The 4500-meter cross IV category is the most heavily entered with 18 names, while the 3300-meter cross II category remains open with only four horses currently listed.
