Velletri gym managers fear escalation following arson attack

Managers of the Dopolavoro Ferroviario community gym in Velletri have expressed deep concern regarding a recent fire that devastated the facility. While investigations by the prosecutor's office are ongoing, the structure remains under seizure, preventing staff from beginning repairs.

One of the managers, Leonardo, stated that the incident may not be an isolated event. He reported that the facility has faced years of hostility, including social media threats, defamatory phone calls, and what the staff perceived as excessive inspections. He suggested that providing affordable services to the community may have created local animosities.

Despite the damage, the managers believe the facility can be recovered and have launched a fundraising campaign to resume activities as soon as possible.
