VeloSkawa cycling route to span 126 km in Małopolska

The VeloSkawa cycling route is being developed as a major investment in western Małopolska, Poland. Part of the VeloMałopolska network, the route is intended to reach a total length of approximately 126 km.

Running through the Skawa River valley, the path will connect the areas of Suche Beskidzka and Hutki, passing through locations such as Wadowice, Zator, and the Mucharskie Lake area. A notable section between Wadowice and the Świnna Poręba dam will follow the path of a former railway line, providing a flat and safe route separated from car traffic.

Additional infrastructure projects are planned for the 2026–2028 period, including new paths, parking, and cyclist amenities. Planned works also include a pedestrian-cyclist bridge over the Sztoła River in Bukowno and road improvements in Nidzie and the Chrzanów district.
