VELUX and Politecnico di Milano renew partnership for VELUXlab

VELUX and Politecnico di Milano have renewed their partnership for an additional five years to celebrate the 15th anniversary of VELUXlab. Located at the Bovisa Campus, the laboratory was the first Italian “Nearly Zero Energy” building constructed on a university campus and the first certified Active House in Italy.

As an international research hub, VELUXlab maintains partnerships with institutions such as Stanford, Tokyo University, Kyoto University, RWTH Aachen, and the University of Sydney. The facility serves as a bridge between industry and academia, focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental quality. To mark the anniversary, architect Mario Cucinella delivered a lecture titled “Lightness,” and illustrator Guido Scarabottolo created a permanent graphic work for the laboratory.
